Overview：
Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Anshan Iron and Steel) is the regional subsidiary of Anshan Iron and Steel Group and is the first large-scale steel complex to resume construction in New China. It is known as “the cradle of New China’s steel industry” and “the eldest son of the iron and steel industry of the Republic”, and it is the place where the “Angang Constitution” was born. It has made outstanding contributions to the development and growth of new China’s iron and steel industry. We have been involved in the construction of the entire Angang converter system and have supplied design, systems and equipment for almost all of Angang’s new converter systems since 2008.
Angang Steel General Steelmaking Plant has a total of 11 converters. We were involved in 80% of the planning, design, and manufacturing. For almost all converters, we provide advice on the design and commissioning of the system. The third branch of the Angang Steelmaking Plant is an important part of Angang. In 2023~2024, we supply a whole set of flue spare parts for the D and E furnaces in the fifth section of the Third Branch of the Angang Steel General Plant.

The Approach
Angang’s main steelmaking plant is located in Anshan, Liaoning Province. From the beginning of the project design, we had to take into account the geographical and hydrological conditions of northern China. In winter, the lowest temperature in Anshan can reach minus 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore, as early as the hydraulic test, we must consider using antifreeze to carry out the test. In addition, during the transportation process, we must also ensure the positive pressure and sealing of the equipment to ensure its stability before installation.
Challenges
As we all know, Angang is also an inland city, the volume of the entire flue is very large, in the transportation process, we need to eliminate a lot of difficulties. This includes transfers between land and water and obstacles on highways, as well as onerous regulations inside the Angang plant. In the end, we also overcame these difficulties and delivered the equipment to the owner perfectly.
